The Beginning of a Passion
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the world of visual effects and cinema, spending hours imagining and dreaming of one day creating breathtaking visual experiences. Over the years, this passion has solidified, becoming the driving force behind my academic and professional choices.
My First Steps in Videomaking
My name is Riccardo La Cecilia, and at the age of 14, I started to nurture this passion by creating short music videos using a visualizer I made with Adobe After Effects. Although my school commitments initially forced me to put this activity on hold, I always tried to keep it alive in my free time.
Expanding My Skills
Over the years, I have continuously expanded my knowledge and skills in the field: I purchased my first green screen to explore cinematic effects and refine my photography skills, built a powerful computer to handle advanced photo and video editing software, and deeply studied industry-standard programs such as Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects. My academic background in computer science and telecommunications provided me with a solid technical foundation, allowing me to quickly learn new software.
Entering the Professional World
At the age of 17, I decided to take videomaking more seriously, participating in school projects and events as a photographer and video editor. This period marked the beginning of my deep dive into the advanced functionalities of Adobe programs and the acquisition of more professional photography equipment. My first work experiences in the IT sector and in corporate video and photo production further strengthened my passion for the visual and creative field. The strong emotions I felt on my first photo set and the satisfaction at the completion of an important video project revealed my true professional aspiration.
Inspiration and Goals
My interest in the field led me to study prominent figures such as Sam Kolder, whose narrative and technical approach deeply influenced me. His style of visual storytelling, combined with impeccable video editing and photography techniques, represents the level of excellence I aspire to achieve. I currently aspire to work in the film and advertising industries, creating high-quality videos and commercials that reflect my personal style. My goal is to work for major film studios or leading advertising agencies, bringing unforgettable visual experiences to life.
